5-12-11 (1 hour painting) Yay! Blogger's up again! I wanted to post this last night...
So I now know why my work is being described as "feathery" even though I am using an solid brush in Photoshop. I have been using the solid brush that is sensitive to pen pressure by mistake. Glad that little mystery is solved. That's a "*bangs head on keyboard" moment, to say the least. So to make up for lost time, I tried to tackle a very complex photograph that I found a while back online of a Samus cosplayer. I don't know her name or the photographer, unfortunately...
Anyway, I think I should have started on something a bit less complicated.... This one feels like a step backwards. Also I feel that somehow with this brush, it looks more "feathery" now, at least along the edges, than ever before. Oh well, just have to keep at it.

looking better Megan but it looks like you are messing with opacity or that other option that's name escapes me. Don't use that yet you need to master making something look right without photoshop tricks. Just render with that plain brush and eventually we will work you up to other things. Also always render in order of importance. Her face should be the most rendered. Right now her gun loots the most rendered to me. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteYou flatter me, but worry not, I used no tricks at all.
