Lion cub

5-04-11 (1 hour painting)  Painting of a photograph I took at the Bronx Zoo.

  1. Don't use a smooth brush use a hard one and that is it. The feathered brush makes your work look mushy and too air brushed, like your trying to hid the fact that you are uncomfortable with defined lines. Look at my paintings none use a feathered brush and it still read. And mine are less mushy and read sharply. I dare you not to use a feathered brush and just a hard line on your next painting.
